A Little About Me
I've been creating custom visuals for the scientific community since I received my masters in medical illustration from Augusta University in 2012. This was precipitated by my interest in how we process information, especially complex visuals, from my biopsychology research days as an undergraduate at The College of New Jersey. Between my career where I luckily was surrounded by scientific knowledge and my fortunate volunteer work supporting underserved communities (and yes, I recognize it is a privilege to have the time to volunteer), I came to appreciate how interconnected our global health is and how devastating the disparities of climate change could be.
Like some of the greatest accomplishments in human history, I believe that equitable climate and global health solutions can surface when brilliant minds cross disciplines. I embrace outside-the-box solutions to communication challenges, find empathy in real-world obstacles, and partner with organizations that bring together leaders from various fields.
To support this endeavor, I will donate at least 5% of my annual profits toward causes like STEAM for girls and/or persons-of-color or organizations supporting community-based solutions.
